TaskLoader policies

Clear rules for every move

Terms, cancellation information, privacy details and practical safety guidance in one place.

Effective 4 September 2026

Terms of use

TaskLoader is an online marketplace that helps customers request moving quotes and communicate with removal providers. Movers are independent providers and are responsible for the accuracy of their quotes, availability, insurance, licences and the services they perform.

Customers must provide accurate job, access, inventory, postcode and schedule information. Movers must quote transparently and must not use TaskLoader to mislead, harass or move prohibited or unsafe items. Accounts may be suspended where platform safety or these terms are breached.

A booking is formed when a customer accepts a Mover quote and, where Stripe checkout is active, payment is confirmed. Until Stripe is activated, customers and Movers remain responsible for agreeing any permitted payment arrangements. TaskLoader does not guarantee that a particular number of quotes will be received.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited under UK consumer law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Cancellation policy

If a customer or Mover cancels an accepted booking, a cancellation fee equal to 9% of the accepted quote is recorded against the cancelling party. Both parties receive a cancellation notice. A Mover cancellation reopens the task so other approved Movers can quote.

The fee is not currently collected automatically because TaskLoader payments are not yet active. Once payments are introduced, the checkout will show the fee and collection terms before a booking is confirmed.

TaskLoader may review exceptional circumstances, evidence and protected messages before deciding whether a fee should apply. Owner-led resolution does not automatically assign a fee. Statutory cancellation rights are not replaced or reduced by this policy.

Privacy notice

TaskLoader uses account details, contact information, move details, photos, quotes and protected messages to operate the marketplace, secure accounts, provide support, prevent misuse and send service notifications.

Customer contact details are kept from Movers before the relevant booking stage. Service providers used to run TaskLoader may process limited data on our behalf, including Stripe for payments, hosting, authentication, database storage and transactional email services. We do not sell personal information.

You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational retention needs. Contact support@taskloader.co.uk with a privacy request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Trust and safety

Mover accounts must be approved before they can view and quote on live work. Approval is an account-level platform check and is not a guarantee of identity, insurance, vehicle condition or service quality. Customers should review each quote and ask appropriate questions before booking.

Direct contact details are filtered from pre-booking messages. Keep important agreements in TaskLoader messages so support can review a clear record if a dispute occurs. Never share passwords, one-time codes or unnecessary financial details.

Report unsafe conduct, suspected fraud, property damage or a completion dispute through TaskLoader support. For an immediate risk to life or property, contact the emergency services rather than waiting for a platform response.

Business review recommended. These plain-language policies explain the current TaskLoader service, but they should be reviewed by a qualified UK solicitor before automated payments or large-scale trading begin.
